Nobody is privileged to replace Kishore da: Asha Bhosle

Asha-Bhosle
Melody queen Asha Bhosle feels there is not a single singer who can fill the void that legendary singer Kishore Kumar left behind after his death in 1987.
“Singers I know, record songs standing up. Kishore da was the only singer I knew who used to sit on a high chair whilst recording a song. After he left us, I had the stool removed from the cabin because I don’t think any one else has earned the privilege to sit in that chair,” Asha posted on micro-blogging website Twitter.

Kishore da, as he was fondly called, sang many duets with Asha, most of which were composed by S.D. Burman. Some of these songs include “Chhod do aanchal”, “Ankhon mein kya ji”, “Haal kaisa hai janaab ka” and “Paanch rupaiya baara aana”.
Asha has been sharing interesting anecdotes about her contemporaries ever since she started social networking. She has recently been nominated in CNN top 20 global music icons.
